Redback wins Best Humorous Henries Award
There was great elation in Redback HQ on the morning after the Henries winners were announced; having crossed fingers and waited with bated breath, the gang were over the moon to have won a prestigious Henries award in the Best Humorous Range category with the Zeppelinmoon line.
Named after Sir Henry Cole, The Henries Awards are the ultimate accolades in greeting card publishing. In a way, the Oscars-for- UK cards remind us that the pleasure of connecting with loved ones through greetings cards is as important now as it was when Sir Henry Cole introduced the first commercially produced Christmas card in 1843.
Whilst Sir Henry may have raised his eyebrows in Victorian horror at the slightly rude Zeppelinmoon cards, team Redback likes to imagine he would have simultaneously appreciated their soft-hearted, whimsical nature.
