Tree-Free Greetings, the employee-owned greeting card company known for artist-designed cards printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper, announced the appointment of Cynthia “Cindy” Prangl as vice president. Prangl succeeds Doris Webb, who retires from the greeting card industry on Sept. 4 after more than seven years with the company.

Webb served in several leadership roles during her tenure, including co-CEO and, most recently, vice president. She brought deep industry experience from Borealis Press, including its print-on-demand business and played a central role in the company’s growth. She will spend her final weeks with Tree-Free training Prangl and transitioning responsibilities.

“I have valued working alongside Doris these past few months,” said Adam Sigel, CEO of Tree-Free Greetings. “She is a true professional, and she taught me a great deal about Tree-Free. Doris was a major part of what made this company so successful over the last decade, and she leaves a lasting mark on all of us.”

Prangl brings more than 25 years of greeting card experience, including 12 years at Paper Source and 13 years at Recycled Paper Greetings. She will lead Tree-Free’s creative and marketing efforts, building on the foundation Webb established while helping refresh the company’s product offering, deepen artist relationships, and grow its presence with independent and national retailers. Prangl joined Tree-Free on August 10 and will work remotely, visiting the Keene headquarters regularly.

“Over the last 25 years, Cindy and I have crossed paths several times,” said Sigel. “We both began our careers at Recycled Paper Greetings, the original alternative greeting card company, and later our paths crossed again when Paper Source was one of my most important accounts and then I sold to Cindy’s company, MightyNest. I am excited to finally work with her directly. Cindy will take Tree-Free Greetings to the next level.”
