Santoro wins a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International trade 2018

 

SANTORO Licensing, founded in 1995 by Meera & Lucio SANTORO, are proud to have been awarded The Queen’sAward for Enterprise for International Trade 2018. It is the UK’s most prestigious and highest accolade forInternational business success.

These Awards are made by HM The Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister.

SANTORO Licensing is a division of the London based design house SANTORO, a privately owned British business founded in 1985, and has demonstrated the necessary level of growth and development on an international scale to meet the strict and demanding criteria required to be even considered for these Awards. Speaking fromthe company’s Head Office in London, England, Co-Founder Meera Santoro stated, “We feel incredibly proud to have received this Award. Our Licensing division has been responsible for many of the Company’s achievementsto date. It is a rare honour and one which we are immensely proud and grateful to accept.”

The founding Company was originally created in a small studio based off the famous Carnaby Street, London. The Licensing division has seen 20 new licensing partners signed since October 2017 and currently works with 65 global licensing partners. Santoro Licensing has seen a 40% growth since 2016.

A major factor in this growth can be attributed to the global phenomenon of Santoro’s GorjussTM brand. Launched in 2009, GorjussTM is now available at over 35,000 points of sale across 93 countries and has already become a £120m brand.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious enterprise Awards to celebrate and encourage business excellence in the UK. The Award is in recognition of SANTORO’s substantial and sustained increase inits international success. The winners are chosen by the Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister and were announced today on the Queen’s 92nd birthday.
