Biely & Shoaf Co. acquires Oatmeal Studios

Oatmeal Studios, one of the top humorous greeting card companies in the world, has been acquired by Biely & Shoaf Co., a leading specialty designer, manufacturer, and distributor of greeting cards, gifts, and stationery.

As part of the transaction, operations for Oatmeal Studios will be moved to Biely & Shoaf’s headquarters in Seattle, WA.  Oatmeal Studio’s sales and creative team will remain in Massachusetts and Vermont, continuing to delight shoppers with unique cards that feature bright, colorful artwork and on-the-mark humor. Oatmeal’s national network of sales representatives will stay intact and continue servicing the company’s loyal base of outstanding retailers throughout the country.

Tom Shoaf, principal at Biely & Shoaf said, “We are thrilled to bring aboard such a fantastic product line and look forward to continuing to build on Oatmeal’s legacy as a one of the funniest and most successful card lines in the marketplace.”

David Crane, prior owner of Oatmeal, added, “It’s been a wonderful experience owning and operating such a fun and dynamic company, and I am very happy that Oatmeal’s legacy will continue in good hands with Biely & Shoaf.”

Oatmeal’s product line features over 300 greeting card designs that are manufactured in the USA with recycled paper and vegetable-based ink. The company brings hilarious new releases to the market almost every month.

In addition to Oatmeal Studios, Biely & Shoaf distributes other award-winning specialty brands including Shannon Martin Design, A. Smyth Co., and the Biely & Shoaf Collection.
