There were endless causes for celebration at *Noted and SF NOW

SF NOW Noted — SF NOW and *Noted came to vibrant, sunny life at Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion. Immediately behind it is the Pacific Ocean, with Alcatraz in plain sight.

If you didn’t attend *Noted and SF NOW April 28 and 29, please accept my apologies if this photo essay brings on an acute case of FOMO (AKA fear of missing out). Being reunited with wonderful industry friends, meeting others in person whom I’d only interacted with on Zoom, to say nothing of all that wonderful design to experience, off a screen — well, magic was definitely in the air! Stationery Trends is so proud to be the official publication of *Noted. Let’s relive it with these highlights.

Immediate Past GCA President George White reminds GCA President Amy McAnarney that the GCA no longer stands for “George cancels affairs.”

The crowd was friendly, unrestrained and enthusiastic.

Louie Awards

Louie Award for Card of the Year, Over $5 was given to Seedlings — Libby and Sofia Llanso of Seedlings are all smiles with their Card of the Year, Over $5 Louie.

Good JuJu Louie Winner 2022 — Good Juju Ink’s Juliana (AKA Juju) Kissick with her Card of the Year, Under $5 Louie.

Elicia Castaldo Girl w/Knife — Elicia Castaldo (AKA the “girl”) of Girl w/Knife with her Artist of the Year Louie.

Louie Winner, Writer of the Year 2022 — The Biely & Shoaf team picked up the Writer of the Year Louie for its Morgan Harper Nichols offerings.

Louie Award winner for Letterpress — Louie Chair Kate Murray of Quick Brown Fox Letterpress with her Louie, for Letterpress.

Rising Star Louie Award winners — The She Said It mother daughter team, Anna (left) and Kathryn Christenson, took Rising Star honors.

A stellar team of judges helped determine winners in 10 categories from 145 entries: Audrey Woollen, founder and creative director of Urbanic Paper Boutique; Chandra Greer, owner of GREER Chicago; Chelsea Shukov, co-founder of Sugar Paper; Daniel Collier, danielrichards; and Sarah Schwartz, editor-in-chief of Stationery Trends.
