1.When and how did you start working in this business?
I started working in the business more than 10 years ago, working from home and educating young minds at the same time. I resigned from education to pursue this full time at home and before I knew it, I had opened doors to my dream shop.

2. What are your three top-selling vendors?
Envelopments, Oddballs and Paper Belle

3. With so many new product developments, how do you recognize quality and what will work best for your needs?
I always like to learn a little bit about the designer of the product. I recognize quality when I see hard work.

4. What trends have you noticed or do you predict for the coming months?
Down in the South, we see trends kind of late so I was excited to head to NSS to see what’s trending “ahead” of our time. But I am loving all the color that designers aren’t afraid to use for stationery.

5. Please share the most helpful advice you have received.
The most helpful advice was given to me from a shopkeeper in another city. She said, “Shop with your customer in mind,” and she was right. I buy what they want. I used to buy what I liked and what I wanted, but after a year in business I recognized that not all my clients like my taste, so I have to suit to their tastes and needs, too.
