Iconic Selection?

One Day at A Time. It was inspired by my friend who lost her father. As I sat alone on her kid’s bunk bed at 2 a.m., not sure of the right thing to say or do, I heard, “One day at a time.” I immediately began designing the card. There are some things that we can’t talk people through; we can only tell them “I’m here for you” and remind them to give themselves the grace to take whatever they are dealing with one day at a time. I find this true not only for grief but addictions or any human struggle.

Current Design Obsession?

Shades of nude and neutral tones in minimal designs, and finding ways to incorporate them in my everyday life and work.

Favorite Flower?

The Protea (also known as sugar bushes), It’s a South African flower. I love it not only for its beauty but because it symbolizes change and hope.

Favorite Indulgence?

Bookstores and frozen Snickers.
