Abundance in Holiday Gift Wrap Styles for All Occasions

{Sponsored} The holiday season’s gift wrap isn’t just for Christmas anymore. Gifts can be covered in prints ranging from Halloween, Hanukkah and New Year’s Eve in more styles than can be imagined with The Gift Wrap Company’s extensive holiday collections.

Fall Holiday Gift Wrap

Julie Madden, designer at The Gift Wrap Company, said texture and fun patterns and characters define Halloween gift wrap. “Black glitter, in particular, is a great way to make something stand out in the Halloween themes.” Think glitter bats with pumpkins, ghosts and vampires gracing bags and wrap.Glitter gift wrap from The Gift Wrap Company

The Hanukkah offerings are primarily traditional blue and silver with gold occasionally added. The spread includes designs not just with traditional menorahs, but also showcasing dreidels and delicate stars of David. These designs are on wrap plus greeting cards, tissue paper, gift bags, with stick-on gift tags rounding out the set. The category is quite popular amongst buyers and customers alike.

Christmas Trend Stories

Christmas has several “trend stories,” as Madden refers to them. The Juvenile designs are whimsical and bright, with designs that not only speak to a child’s Homespun collection from The Gift Wrap Companyaesthetic, but that adults can also enjoy. The Homespun set is clean white with cream and sage; the eucalyptus designs on some of the members of the trend story round out the warm and soft patterns in this set.

The Heritage trend story is where the traditional green and red wrap is found — but with a twist. This year, a rich blue is part of the tapestry. Look for several shades of green, with emerald complementing olive against the bright red. Other designs in this collection have rich burgundy. The variety of large graphics include poinsettias and ornaments. Madden’s favorite from this collection is a poinsettia gift wrap.

“Deep tones, rich reds, blues, purples, evergreen in tapestry-driven patterns. The trend story speaks to heritage, the past, home traditions and things you inherited. Heritage collection from The Gift Wrap CompanyWe do a lot of trend research and go to shows in Germany to find inspiration. Plus, the heritage pallet has orange and therefore also lends itself to fall,” Madden said. The matching tissue is iridescent or foiled, creating a variety of looks to make gifts stand out under the tree.

Heritage encompasses oranges and birds, cinnamon sticks and pears with minty green and foil stamped text or foliage. The graphics are reminders of the traditional aromas of Christmas: oranges with cloves scattered across their surfaces, pomegranates, homemade cinnamon dough ornaments against peppery pine needles.

The Homespun collection includes bright designs with foiled stars and snowflakes, deer and stripes with white accents. They can be used for Christmas as well as New Year’s Eve. Madden recommends adding a pop of color with a ribbon in pink or green or red to draw attention to the clean patterns beneath the bow.

New Year’s Eve in Style

Many designs also lend themselves to New Year’s Eve. The foil and gold set as Celebration Crackers from The Gift Wrap Companywell as matching cracker, a U.K. tradition, include designs that say “celebrate,” lending them well to not only New Year’s Eve but also anniversaries or any holiday throughout the year.

The latest trends in materials include kraft paper with glitter or foil stamps or embossing; the popular and easy gift bags come in sizes from jumbo to gift-card-sized. Encapsulated glitter is on gift wrap and bags in rich pops of color such as purple or blue, burgundy, white and bright red. These bags, especially, are great options throughout the year. “These styles have more texture and remind me of the technology of glitter nail polish,” Madden said. Bamboo paper is also gaining popularity along with the trends towards eco-friendliness.
