GCA releases details for the 2022 Workshop & Retreat, calls for speakers

The Greeting Card Association (GCA) will host a two-day virtual Workshop & Retreat  Sep. 22-23, 2022. This year’s theme is Many Voices. One Community. Overall the event will focus on “the heart of the greeting card and social expression industry.”

Workshop & Retreat Details

The event will feature keynote speakers, informative presentations on a range of industry topics and breakout sessions. “This year’s Workshop & Retreat theme, Many Voices One Community, really builds upon the strong sense of community we saw at *Noted: The Greeting Card Expo last month”, said Nora Weiser, executive director for GCA. “We strive to bring together a variety of perspectives, but all with a common goal to support, promote, and advance the work of greeting card makers.”

The Workshop & Retreat strives to assist emerging and veteran makers alike, and to provide a forum to foster connections. “The 2022 Workshop & Retreat experience features regional ‘meet and greet’ hubs, self-care sessions, and a SWAG box — with early bird registration! We envision a workshop that invests in you and the work you give leadership to,” shared GCA.

Call for Speakers

GCA wants to hear from makers, brand builders, creative directors, CMOs, CEOs, CFOs, retailers, buyers, industry suppliers, communications strategists, PR gurus, and futurists. “Speakers are sought from within the industry or outside the industry who can speak to an array of topics,” GCA emphasized.  The GCA has provided these topics of interest, but is open to additional areas:

  • Sustainability
  • Hands-on activities where attendees can leave with something
  • Marketing (including social media, email, SEO)
