New Creative & Lifestyle Arts Show to Collocate with NSS
George Little Managment has announced plans to launch Creative & Lifestyle Arts (C&LA), a new tradeshow serving the east coast’s $18 billion art, crafting and creative hobby marketplace. The premiere event is scheduled to run May 19-22, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, and will be collocated with the National Stationery Show (NSS).
C&LA will include some 150 leading manufacturers, presenting a broad range of innovative crafting and paper art supplies; embellishments; art materials; design tools; DIY kits for home décor, party, holiday and card making; along with supplies for floral, glass, woodworking, jewelry making, needlecrafts and scrapbooking. Attendees will include more than 3,600 owners, buyers, merchandise executives, distributors, sales reps and product developers from the east coast’s highly concentrated retail marketplace.
“C&LA is the only event dedicated to the thousands of independent and ‘big box’ stores that sell art supplies, crafting merchandise and creative hobby products on the east coast,” said Patti Stracher, vice president, National Stationery Show. “C&LA is a natural fit with the National Stationery Show, in terms of product synergies and cross-marketing opportunities. The collocation will attract a significantly expanded retailer base to the market, and generate exciting new buying opportunities for social stationery retailers looking to incorporate craft and paper art supplies into their merchandise mix.”
Together, C&LA and the NSS will present a comprehensive marketplace for all participants, complete with educational programs, demonstrations, themed displays and networking opportunities. Highlights will include new “NSS Live” presentation theatres, product focus areas and the return of Party on the Battery. Reciprocal badging and shared shuttle service will create a seamless shopping experience.
The 67th annual National Stationery Show, the nation’s leading marketplace for the social stationery industry, will run May 19-22, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The Show features nearly 800 exhibitors and attracts some 11,000 attendees. For more information, visit www.nationalstationeryshow.com and www.creativelifestylearts.com.
