Las Vegas Market predicts record growth to continue

Las Vegas Market’s record gains in both vendor participation and retail attendance are expected to continue for the Winter 2016 Las Vegas Market, which will take place Jan. 24-28, 2016, at World Market Center Las Vegas, with significant new resources enhancing the Market’s current 2,700+ suppliers, as well as an exceptional educational programming, trend analysis and networking events adding value to the overall Market experience. Highlights include continued expansion in the gourmet, housewares and casual/outdoor furniture categories; enrichment of better home décor offerings; expansion of temporary exhibits into two Pavilions; and the enhancement of top furniture, gift and lifestyle vendors.
“Las Vegas Market is delivering on its promise to create a complete shopping experience for home furnishings and giftware buyers,” said Robert Maricich, Chief Executive Officer, International Market Centers (IMC). “As we enter our second decade, Las Vegas Market continues its growth trajectory, firmly entrenched as the only major home furnishings market in the western United States, but also the leading furniture, home decor and gift destination in the western United States.”
Las Vegas Market is steadily expanding both the quality and diversity of resources, dedicating new floors to the gourmet, housewares and casual/outdoor furniture merchandise categories, as well as spotlighting better home décor.
Winter Market also will see the expansion of temporary exhibits into two Pavilions following the successful relocation and strategic reimagining of temporary space at the 2015 Summer Market; and the related growth of Discoveries: The Antique Vintage Marketplace, a unique Las Vegas Market offering of immediate-delivery antique, vintage and one-of-a-kind products designed to serve the independent retail and interior design audience.

Beyond exhibits, Winter Las Vegas Market presents a variety of special events, including complimentary happy hours, daily Brunch Bars, product demonstrations, food and wine tastings; as well as a full schedule of educational programming addressing design trends, retailing strategies and more. Three signature events highlight the winter 2016 schedule: Design Icon 2016, now in its 11th year, honors an interior designer who has made a significant contribution to the industry throughout his or her career and offers Las Vegas Market attendees an opportunity to learn from living legends; Pantone Color of the Year Presentation featuring Pantone’s 2016 Color of the Year, with Laurie Pressman, vice president of Pantone Color Institute, addressing the color and its application to home furnishings and lifestyle merchandise; and FIRST LOOK, spotlighting the best new-to-market products in four major trend categories, as well as a trend presentation by curator Julie Smith Vincenti and a companion publication distributed at registration areas.
Las Vegas Market also offers an unparalleled range of buyer amenities, including a new on-campus shuttle, complimentary shuttle to/from host hotels, free parking in an onsite parking garage, fully-equipped Internet lounges, buyers’ lounges, grab-and-go breakfasts, greeters, nightly entertainment and convenient food options.
