GCA seeks speakers for the 2021 Workshop + Retreat

The Greeting Card Association (GCA) is hosting its annual Workshop + Retreat virtually, Sep. 9-10, 2021. Currently, GCA is seeking individuals who would be interested in presenting at this year’s workshop, and the theme for this event is “See What Unfolds.”

“After the many challenges wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses are emerging to new realities, new business practices, and new models of how we connect, communicate, work, and live. What does that mean for the stationery and greeting card industry?” GCA noted in an email. GCA is looking for speakers that are industry professionals, and also those who may be outside the industry, but who can speak to this issue broadly and/or specifically relate it to several topics.

Topics to be addressed

  • Sustainability
  • Post-pandemic business and trends
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Brand building
  • Pandemic pivots (esp. case studies)

GCA is interested in hearing from makers, brand builders, creative directors, CMOs, CEOs, CFOs, retailers, buyers, industry suppliers, communications strategists, PR gurus, and futurists…”anybody who can speak to weathering difficult times, address the challenges of recovery, and envision what lies ahead.”

For those interested in being a speaker, the submission period will close July 1, 2021.
