Aurora World acquires Mary Meyer

Aurora World, a global brand in gift plush and plush toys, acquired Mary Meyer, an established, branded plush toy company specializing in baby, general and seasonal plush products.

Aurora World x Mary MeyerThis strategic move not only aims to solidify Aurora World’s position in the industry and open exciting possibilities for both brands, but it also marks a significant expansion for Aurora World, according to the company.

The acquisition of Mary Meyer by Aurora World represents a natural synergy between two industry leaders, the company said. By joining forces, the companies aim to leverage their respective strengths to enhance product offerings, streamline operations, and deliver even greater value to customers worldwide.

By combining Aurora’s global reach, design expertise, and manufacturing capabilities with Mary Meyer’s 90-plus year legacy of plush products, Aurora World said it is poised to create an even more delightful and diverse range of plush product offerings.

Aurora World said customers can expect:

  • Expanded product lines. Expect an expanded lineup of plush toys, including new baby-safe designs inspired by Mary Meyer’s legacy.
  • Enhanced distribution. Mary Meyer products will enjoy Aurora World’s extensive national account distribution network.
  • Continued innovation. Mary Meyers’ design team will continue to develop fresh, imaginative plush that consistently captures hearts and sparks imagination.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mary Meyer into the Aurora World Inc family,” said Henry Gweon, CEO of Aurora World. “Their dedication to quality and innovation in the various types of plush products perfectly complements our own values. Together, we look forward to continuing to delight children and families with our adorable creations.”

Under the umbrella of Aurora World, Mary Meyer will continue to operate as an independent brand, maintaining its distinct identity while benefiting from the resources and expertise of its parent company. Aurora World said customers should expect the same level of excellence and attention to detail that they have come to associate with both companies.

“We are excited about the opportunities that this acquisition brings,” said Kevin Meyer, president of Mary Meyer, who will be staying at the company along with other family members. “By joining forces with Aurora World Inc., we can further expand our reach and bring our beloved baby plush toys to even more families around the world.”

Michael Kessler and Tony Sayles at Aurora World will be working closely with the Mary Meyer sales team to create synergies between the two companies.

“As we welcome Mary Meyer into the Aurora family, we are excited to lead the expansion of their sales and distribution,” said Kessler, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Aurora World.

Added Sayles, vice president of sales at Aurora World: “Our combined strengths will enable us to bring Mary Meyer’s cherished plush toys to a wider audience, ensuring that more customers experience the quality and creativity that both brands are known for.”
