Hundreds gather at Illinois army base to send greeting cards to soldiers
Sending cards can be underrated at times, but it can make a huge difference to a solider who receives a card from home.
More than 300 people gathered Sept. 29, 2015, at the Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island, Illinois, to help send greetings to troops overseas, reported KWQC TV 6 in Davenport, Iowa.
The goal was to help soldiers connect with loved ones back home. Participants created rubber stamp greeting cards for deployed soldiers. The cards will be sent unsigned, so they can be mailed back home to loved ones.
