Shoppe Object provides statement on COVID-19

In an email statement Shoppe Object provided information related to its August market and the COVID-19 virus.

“At this time of global concern and rapidly changing updates related to the COVID-19 virus, please know that Shoppe Object is closely monitoring developments, and our hearts go out to everyone impacted. One of our main reasons for launching Shoppe Object was to be able to support, amplify and interact with our close-knit community, and it goes without saying that the well0being of everyone involved is of the utmost importance to us, and something we are taking very seriously,” stated Shoppe Object.

“We are following the latest guidance from local, state and national authorities as it relates to travel and participation in our August event, with the intention of keeping our exhibitors and attendees informed as they finalize plans for 2020. We are committed to implementing up-to-date best practices in accordance with public health guidance, including those issued by the CDC. Our venue Pier 36, has indicated that their Emergency Management team is closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak at the global, U.S. and local level, and closely following the guidance of the CDC and New York State Health Department guidelines.

“We do not plan to postpone our August show, but the safety of our exhibitors, attendees and staff is our number one priority. We are also coordinating with NY NOW to ensure the August market is successful and safe for our community. Please stay tuned for updates as we have them,” read the statement from Shoppe Object.
