NSS debuts as part of the NY NOW summer market

The National Stationery Show (NSS) makes its first appearance co-locating with the NY NOW summer market, August 10-13, 2019, at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. The NSS will open a day earlier, along with the NY NOW Handmade collection, and close on Tuesday, August 13.

Aaron Hazard, sales director for the NSS shared a full slate of new events that are planned for the summer show, including networking events both on and off the show floor. “There is an opening night party on Saturday, August 10 for the NSS and NY NOW Handmade exhibitors and guests in the Crystal Palace,” said Hazard. “On Sunday, there will be block party hosted by the NSS and the NY NOW Lifestyle collection from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. These two events provide additional time to meet and mingle for everyone involved.”

Other new features include live music daily from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. on the mezzanine between the Crystal Palace and River Pavilion. The Fashion Runway debuts on Saturday, August 10 and will be held daily at 10:30 a.m. in the Crystal Palace at the bottom of the escalators to the River Pavilion. The show consists of jewelry and fashion accessories from across the globe and is presented and curated by designer Farai Simoyi.

The NSS Best New Product Display and Awards is also a part of the new summer event. Entries will be showcased and winners will be selected in the categories of: All Things Wedding, Cause Related, All Things Paper, Lifestyle, Craft It Up/DIY, Let’s Celebrate and the Best of Show.

Another change is that the directories for the NSS and NY NOW will be combined for ease of use in locating exhibitors. A full market Stationery Guide will also be available, making it easier for buyers to find all exhibitors offering stationery across all shows and divisions.

One badge is valid across all co-located shows. Registration is now open. For more information, visit the NSS website.
