Louis DeJoy steps down as Postmaster General, effective immediately

Louis DeJoy has resigned from his role as Postmaster General of the U.S. Postal Service, national outlets began reporting Monday evening.

According to an exclusive initial report from Time, he announced to the USPS Board of Governors that it would be his last day on the job and named Deputy Postmaster General Doug Tulino to take his place temporarily until the board names a permanent replacement.
