Holiday card honors women from travel-banned nations

Venice-based  Polite Society today announced that their limited edition ‘The Future is Female’ card series has become a best seller on Amazon.com. The series is a response to the current travel ban targeting primarily Muslim countries. The colorful cards feature women from Chad, Libya, Syria, Iran, North Korea, Somalia, Yemen, Venezuela, in traditional dress.

“Presently, people from the travel ban countries are barred entering the United States. It is a situation that is tearing many American families apart. By creating these cards, we hope to start conversations that bring more visibility to the situation.” said Mahdis Keshavarz, Founder of Polite Society. Our Future is Female series sends a message that borders and bans cannot impede human connection and that it is time to hear the voice of women in conflict resolution. We can start that process by putting pen to paper.”

Founded in mid-2017, Polite Society believes that there is no better way of expressing gratitude or building relationships than by putting pen to paper. They offer design sets that are perfect for everyone and for a wide range of occasions, whether as an expression of gratitude or a message of peace and love. Polite Society’s cards are crafted with the best quality papers and have gathered praise amongst thousands of clientele. With politeness in mind and a mission to use gratitude and compassion as a tool for positive change, Polite Society has created their holiday cards to not only breathe new life into the greeting card industry, but to call for a deeper sense of community in the face of continuous injustice.

A portion of card sales will be allocated towards groups supporting women voices in conflict resolution.

Polite Society’s greeting cards can be found on  www.sopolite.com and on Amazon.
