Atlanta Apparel Market showcases new resources for autumn and winter trends

Atlanta Apparel Market marks the Southeast’s debut of Autumn/Winter 2019 fashion with new and expanded resources, trend presentations and a host of inspirational market moments including runway shows, panel discussions and celebrity appearances. The April 2–6, 2019 Market also marks the return of the Montréal Collections presented in partnership with the Québec Government Office and the Montréal Metropolitan Fashion Cluster.

New and Expanded Resources

Buyers will find new apparel resources throughout the Market. The permanent collection features new exhibitors French Kande, Katie Loxton and Mobile Showroom. Expanded showrooms DREW, Pomegranate, Scarlett Showroom and Shoshanna join more than 300 permanent showrooms locations.

The aspirational brand showcase in Gallery 11 West presents new collections from Amsterdam Heritage and Current/Elliott, plus returning brands Black Halo, Brothers & Sisters Showroom, Brown Allen, Chan Luu, Driftwood, 4our Dreamers, Garbe Luxe, Go>by Go Silk, JET by John Eshaya, JOIE, JOIE Footwear, Mare Mare, Marrakech, Mauritius, Roberta Sher, Simpatico Showroom, Stone & Sky, and Walker Lyne.

The temporary collection features more than 300 exhibitors across its five categories: Premiere; READY! Ready-to-Wear; NOW! Young Contemporary; JFA: Jewelry & Fashion Accessories; and Shoe Studio. More than 30 new exhibitors join the collection in April including the Atlanta Apparel debut of Shep Gear by Shep Rose, star of the hit Bravo reality television show Southern Charm.

Elan International, FREYRS Eyewear, Gretchen Scott and Pearly Vine are some of the more than 30 lines showing Resort product. Resources for the southern Game Day tradition from licensed pieces to customized color options are presented by more than 40 brands throughout the temporaries.

Autumn / Winter 2019 Trends

According to Atlanta Apparel, top trends for Autumn / Winter 2019 include the application of knots, ties and hardware; exaggerated proportions on cuffs, collars and shoulders; long and wide suiting with supersized shirting; ruffle variations in micro pleats, crinkled edges and fluted frills; glitter and sparkly party dressing; retro knitwear and utility styles.

The April Atlanta Apparel Market’s educational programming features “Brands on a Mission,” in which TOMS CMO/GM Americas Bill Bettencourt, Headbands of Hope Founder Jess Ekstrom, ABLE Brand Partnerships Manager Alexa Gryglewski, and Kendra Scott Marketing & Philanthropic Manager Lauren Littleton, will share what drives them and their brands to promote a socially conscious message that goes beyond the basic business model.
