LA Mart and Museum Store Association (MSA) will partner during LA Mart’s Summer Market, July 18-22, 2019.  This collaboration will emerge in the form of a special exhibit space designated for MSA vendors in the order writing section of LA Mart temporaries.

Located in the very front of LA Mart’s brand new first floor exhibit hall, the MSA Gallery will showcase MSA vendor member products. These products are available to all buyers but will specialize in museum store oriented items.  The MSA Gallery will open with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, July 19, and will exhibit throughout the rest of market.

“Los Angeles is such a mecca of museums and museum gift stores that this partnership is a natural progression for both the MSA and the LA Mart,” said Frank Joens senior vice president, general manager, LA Mart.  “We are elated to be part of this alliance.”

“The Museum Store Association is excited to be entering into this partnership with the LA Mart, which offers such a vibrant market for our museum store buyers and our vendor members,” comments Susan Tudor, manager of visitor services and store buyer for the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens in Jacksonville, Florida, and president of MSA.  “We know that our members will benefit from this new partnership, and it’s fantastic to have MSA represented with dedicated space where buyers at LA Mart will be able to see the wonderful range of products offered by MSA vendor members.”

In addition to the fanfare of the MSA Gallery, all permanent showrooms that carry MSA member lines will display special window decals, receive an MSA designation in the building directory and be included on an MSA member list given to all attending buyers. Rounding out the member perks, will be round table discussions, a champagne reception, a guided “My Favorite Things at the LA Mart” tour by an MSA retailer and a Saturday evening excursion to the nearby Broad Museum, the neighboring Disney Concert Hall and the LA Philharmonic Store.
