The Grommet Wholesale adds Urban Expositions’ Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco, Boston shows to its 2016 trade show schedule

Further strengthening its offerings to retailers seeking unique, innovative resources, Urban Expositions will welcome product launch site The Grommet to a number of its 2016 regional gift shows to showcase The Grommet Wholesale Platform, a digitally enhanced way for retailers to stock their shelves with new-to-market designs. Joining Urban’s versatile show selections that are custom-tailored to each region they serve, The Grommet gives attending retailers yet another tool to help differentiate and elevate their store mix in the coming year.

The Grommet will participate in Urban Expositions’ Philadelphia Gift Show (Jan. 8-11, 2016) at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pennsylvania; SF Market (Jan. 8-11, 2016) at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California; Seattle Gift Show (Jan. 22-25, 2016) at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington, and the Boston Gift Show (April 2-5, 2016) at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts. At each show, The Grommet Wholesale will curate a sampling of innovative new-to-market products from their best makers for retailers to explore.

The Grommet, a product launch platform, finds unique and undiscovered products (called Grommets) and helps promote them to consumers and retailers through their online platform. In 2014, The Grommet launched a wholesale division geared specifically to retailers. The Grommet Wholesale Platform allows retailers to stock their shelves with tested and proven-to-sell products with the same ease a consumer experiences when shopping online, at no added cost. The platform also provides a digital marketing and sales bridge between the world’s best product Makers and the $4 trillion retail business they need to reach to be successful, with a low burden of logistical management.

“We are thrilled to have The Grommet Wholesale and their Grommet community represented on the floor at a number of Urban shows in 2016. We believe the Philly, Seattle, Boston and San Francisco retail markets are a great fit for these unique and exciting products,” said Donna Guess, vice president of Souvenir, SF Market and Seattle Gift Shows, Urban Expositions. “Like The Grommet Wholesale, Urban is always seeking new ways to bring talented makers and retailers together in the regions our shows serve.”

The Grommet Wholesale booth will join a wide and diverse selection at each show, offering the perfect complement to Urban’s Makers’ Market section. This expanded and rebranded Handcrafted sector brings together artisans and designers showcasing hand-styled crafts in all media and across such categories as tabletop, ceramics, textiles, home decor, jewelry, apparel, and more.

“We look forward to sharing The Grommet Wholesale with retailers attending the Boston, Philadelphia, Seattle and San Francisco shows,” said Ian Markowitz, senior manager, Business Development, The Grommet. “We know these retailers will enjoy the easy access we offer to talented makers and other businesses who are ready to handle retail orders for a range of products reflecting the values today’s customers care about — from locally made resources to eco-friendly designs.”
