GHTA announces 2016 conference location and dates

The Gift and Home Trade Association [GHTA], the industry’s leading non-profit trade association, has announced that its 2016 annual conference will be held in San Diego, California, September 28-30, 2016, a shift from its usual November timeline. The conference, also known as the 3rd Annual Gift & Home Bridgeway Collaborative Conference, will continue its steadfast focus of making the industry “stronger together” by welcoming individuals from key groups/associations under one roof for educational keynote presentations and breakout workshops, ample and strategic networking, social and philanthropic events, and much more.

An early bird registration rate of $399 is available to members of the Gift & Home Bridgeway Collaborative organizations until March 1st, which comes with a two-installment payment plan option. The first half of the fee [$199.50] is due at the time of registration, with the second [$199.50] due 75 days later or on May 15, whichever comes first. The payment plan is available for the early bird rate only. The rate will increase to $549 on March 2nd and again on July 3rd to $699.

Organizations involved in the Collaborative are: GHTA, Gift Sales Managers Association [GSMA], Accessories Resource Team [ART], Young Gift Executives [YGE], and Gift for Life [GFL]. Non-members are also invited to attend the conference at a rate of $699. Online registration, along with additional information, can be found here.

“Our 2015 conference was incredibly successful, entertaining and well attended, but we are encouraging even greater industry participation by changing the dates to September,” said Joe Harris, president of the Gift and Home Trade Association and partner at Whereoware. “We are working hard to craft a conference that takes this year’s event to the next level. Not only are we fixated on developing an educational and networking experience that is unmatched, but also on creating a social element that allows our attendees to indulge in all that San Diego has to offer.”

The Gift and Home Trade Association’s Conference Committee, headed by GHTA Vice President Allison Barrows, has already begun planning the conference, with further program details to be announced soon. As always, the conference will feature a well-known keynote speaker, breakout workshops, cocktail and networking receptions, and the charitable “Give Back” event that the GHTA has made a program staple.

The 2016 Gift & Home Bridgeway Collaborative Conference will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego – Mission Valley, putting attendees in the center of San Diego at a significantly discounted room rate of only $159 per night. San Diego’s popular trolley has a stop adjacent to the hotel, providing rides to the city’s top attractions including San Diego Zoo, Old Town, and the Gaslamp Quarter, plus easy access to the airport. The hotel has some of the largest guest rooms in Mission Valley, with each guest room at 450 sq. ft. of contemporary space with high-quality amenities, and it is also within walking distance to San Diego’s famed Fashion Valley Mall.
