As the COVID-19 pandemic has affected our nation and shelter-in-place mandates have proliferated, Sullivans has created a special-edition, Medical Appreciation American Flag from the Darren Gygi Home Collection, to help retailers affected by this outbreak. “Small businesses are the heart and soul of our communities, and the core of our customer base for over 52 years. We not only want to support small business, but we also want to honor the medical community putting their lives at risk while helping those affected by COVID-19,” said Tom Russo, CEO of Sullivans.

One hundred percent of the profits from this customizable, special-edition print will be donated to The Small Business Relief Fund. This fund will provide micro-grants to qualifying small businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m honored to have my artwork displayed in retailers and homes throughout the country,” said Darren Gygi, artist. “It is my pleasure to release a special-edition print of my artwork in an effort to give back. We are in uncertain times, but one thing is certain we can all do something to help.”

Available in five popular sizes, this gallery-wrapped, handmade in the USA American flag also makes a lovely customizable gift for health care professionals everywhere. “This is our small way to recognize heroes on the front lines. As the quote suggests, we can’t thank the healthcare community enough for their selflessness, dedication and courage,” said Russo.

This charitable campaign runs through July 4, 2020. One hundred percent of the profits on units sold will be donated to The Small Business Relief Fund. Megan Gygi, brand manager of the Darren Gygi Home Collection, had this to share about Sullivan’s philanthropic effort: “Since the beginning we’ve committed to hand-making our artwork in America and we also got our start in local, small brick and mortar stores. Even though we have grown to a nationally-recognized brand, we know that it is our independent retailers who keep us in business! We are thankful for them and grateful for the opportunity to help support them and our country during this difficult time.”

Small Business Relief Fund is part of the Small Business Relief Initiative: a program supported by GoFundMe, Yelp, and Intuit QuickBooks. The Small Business Relief Initiative will supply financial assistance and support to businesses across the country by providing grants, tools, and resources to help during the crisis.

“Small businesses need relief today to manage their cash flow. By joining forces with GoFundMe, we can connect millions of small businesses and their local communities. We’re helping to give the community a platform to quickly put cash in the hands of small businesses who need it the most,” saidAlex Chriss, executive vice president and general manager for Intuit QuickBooks.
