Schleich USA shifts Canadian business in-house

Schleich, a leading manufacturer of animal figurines, announced that beginning Jan. 1, 2021 it will be servicing Canadian customers directly from its North American warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Since 2018, Schleich has partnered with Everest for Canadian distribution.

“Schleich is a strong brand in the Canadian market and we’re thrilled to be able to service all of our customers directly again,” said Annie Laurie Zomermaand, CCO, Schleich USA. “Everest has been a wonderful partner. But, as we continue to grow, this is a natural next step toward global alignment.”

“Schleich will follow its successful strategic approach for Canada with increased marketing and direct support that is driving double digit increases within the U.S. for 2020.  We have ambitious growth targets for both markets, and we want to serve our US and Canadian customers in the best possible way,” said David Albert, COO, Schleich USA.

The partnership with Everest continues through December 31, 2020. Everest is the sole distributor for Schleich’s 2020 product assortment and will still be the go-to source for holiday gifts.

Carly Little, national account manager at Schleich, will be managing Schleich’s Canadian business and will be driving its long-term growth strategy for this market. Little has been building relationships with Schleich’s Canadian partners over the past two years. Additionally, all marketing efforts will be run through the U.S. office.
