Faire Summer Market shares top trending products at its event

Last week Faire concluded its Summer Market. Faire’s virtual trade show event delivered positive results and was even more successful than its Winter Market, held in February. Independent retailers and brands came together from across the world to connect, shop exclusive discounts, and to attend livestream events with retail experts.

“Faire Summer Market 2021 … was our largest event ever, delivering our brand community double the volume since our last show, Faire Winter Market, in February,” Faire shared in a blog post.

Faire noted that the most purchased brand tags for the market included women-owned, handmade and Made in the USA products. Additionally, global participation was significant, with 30,000 retailers across North America and Europe participating in the market, along with 12,000 global brands. “This represents an almost 50% increase in retailer participation and a whopping 87% increase in brand participation from Faire’s last Market event in February,” the blog post shared.

Retailers also sought back-to-school and work merchandise, from bags and backpacks to apparel. Faire also shared that candles are still a sought after item and was “one of the most purchased products.”

Another top trend at the market was holiday planning, as top search queries on the market included Halloween, Christmas, fall décor and pumpkins.

In total, over 155,000 orders were placed and over 400,000 products were purchased. Retailers were also able to take advantage of special savings, as the show offered exclusive brand discounts and promotion matching that was funded by Faire. “To date, retailers have saved over $15 million at Faire Markets within the past year,” Faire noted in a blog post.
