ASD Market Week cancels August 2020 event
Emerald Expositions delivered the news that ASD Market Week, scheduled for August, has been canceled. Here is the full statement:
Dear ASD Market Week Community,
When we think about what makes ASD Market Week such an amazing experience, it is more than the business deals that are done. It is about the people who come together to forge new relationships and celebrate old ones and where we gather, unite, and move business forward.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 related closure of the Las Vegas Convention Center, we will not be able to stage ASD Market Week, which was originally scheduled for August 2-5, 2020. This is due to developments regarding COVID-19 that we are all familiar with, including, but not limited to, restrictions on congregating and large gatherings imposed by the State of Nevada. Maintaining the health and safety of each of our customers, partners, and employees remains paramount to us.
Though we will not be able to gather in-person, we understand many are anxious to get back to business, which is why we are announcing plans to enhance the ASD online vendor directory to be a Virtual Product Sourcing Platform. This virtual directory allows buyers and vendors the opportunity to connect, discover and conduct business. Buyers can source new products, refill orders and schedule appointments all through the online platform. This virtual platform enables vendors to showcase their full product line in a searchable, easy to navigate directory. For more information, contact your ASD sales representative.
We are confirmed for a full scale, live edition of ASD Market Week on February 28-March 3, 2021 and have partnered with the Las Vegas Convention Center to host the most productive, safe, and healthy event for our customers. We are excited to return to Las Vegas next year.
There are numerous details for our teams to work out and we will send detailed information with answers to questions from customers around logistics and policies affected by this cancellation as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience as we work through these details.
