AmericasMart Atlanta expands specialty categories this January

International Market Center (IMC) reports expansion in specialty categories is driving growth in the temporary collection of The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market. The trade show, which runs , January 15-19, adds 400 new exhibitors with overall growth in stationery and paper resources as well as specific gains in three more product categories: On Trend Gifts, Gourmet Foods and Boutique. In total, the market will present 3,300 temporary gift and home exhibitors in 31 distinct product neighborhoods including a redesigned Seasonal/Gift collection.

Stationery and paper are a growing vertical at the market, expanding by 25% year-over-year to nearly 100 brands showing a mix of product including greeting cards, custom invitations and imprintables, gift wrap, journals, planners, notebooks and more. Found across ten neighborhoods, highlights include new brands Katie Kime, Kitty Meow, Krystal Whitten, Portico Designs and The Social Type.

Three specific neighborhoods also are posting significant growth. On Trend Gifts is an internationally influenced juried collection of design-driven, contemporary gift items that doubled to 90 booths. It is highlighted by newcomers Pinch Provisions, Helinox and Muzen Audio.

Growth in the Gourmet Foods collection is driven by an expanded Georgia Grown Pavilion, which features more than 30 booths showcasing products made and harvested across the state of Georgia including Backyard Safari, Braswell Food Co., Southern Pawz Pets and Southern Straws Cheese Straws.

The Boutique collection, of nearly 140 brands, adds six luxury jewelry and accessories vendors: Abby May, Bluegrass Belts, Diomi, Lola & Company, Pink Pineapple and Yatra Collection.

Following its recent rebrand, the Seasonal/Gift collection features a new look and feel that better showcases its seasonal décor and faux botanicals. Highlights of the collection include new exhibitors Characters Unlimited, Inc., Creative International Exports, Glassware Art Studio, Harrow and Green, HoHoHo2o and Holiday Supply.

Buyers will discover new trend-driven products in an expanded and redesigned New Exhibitor vignette on Building 2, Floor 2. The vignette features best sellers, new introductions and signature items from exhibitors making their Atlanta market debut in January 2020.

The Atlanta market’s temporaries are found on 12 floors throughout the AmericasMart campus. Five home décor temporaries are in Building 1, and 26 categories of gift temporaries are in Buildings 2 and 3. Nine in Building 2 offers nine temporaries, and 17 in Building 3.

In January 2020, The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market temporaries are open Wednesday, Jan. 15-18, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
