United States Postal Service to Join LOUIE Awards as Gold Sponsor

The Greeting Card Association’s 23rd Annual LOUIE Awards Committee has announced that the United States Postal Service (USPS) will join the Awards for the first time this year as a Gold Sponsor.

The USPS is the only delivery service that reaches every address in the nation, 150 million residences, businesses and post office boxes, making it the perfect partner for the LOUIE Awards, whose focus lies in celebrating the importance of sending or receiving a handwritten card or note through the mailbox as we exist in the digital age.

This addition of the USPS sponsorship from an organization so closely aligned with the GCA and the LOUIE Awards marks a first-time endeavor for the LOUIE Committee. By joining the LOUIEs as a Gold Sponsor, both the USPS and the Awards will enjoy the mutual benefit of widespread visibility to consumers as well as to the thousands of industry professionals that are involved in the LOUIEs, and that attend the National Stationery Show (NSS).

In addition to sponsoring the Awards, the USPS will receive a prominent location at the NSS, where attendees can learn about USPS’ variety of services and programs.

“We are thrilled with the significance of the United States Postal Service Gold Sponsorship of this year’s LOUIE Awards,” said Andy Meehan, awards chairman. “This alignment reflects the enduring relationship between our two businesses.”

“Showcasing USPS on the exhibit floor of the National Stationery Show alongside manufacturers of greeting cards, invitations and stationery is a natural,” said Patti Stracher, show manager of the NSS. “The success of those businesses is largely dependent upon the consumers’ use of the USPS to deliver their sentiments; to say that this partnership is valuable is an understatement. We look forward to welcoming the USPS to the both LOUIE Awards and to the NSS in May.”
