Mudlark Announces Partnership with The Madison Park Group

As Mudlark prepares to celebrate its 20th year in the gift industry, the company announced a new operational partnership with The Madison Park Group, a leading manufacturer and distributor of stationery, gifts and accessories.

Founded by husband and wife team Doug and Kim Hamilton, Mudlark was created as a way for the couple to share their passion for great products, while providing their family an opportunity for a truly balanced lifestyle.

With the initial design premise that recycled could be sophisticated, Mudlark has since made a name for itself in the specialty gift industry with products ranging from handcrafted soaps and candles to designed notes, journals and more. Today Mudlark sells into over 5,000 specialty stores across the US and internationally.

“We are incredibly excited about this partnership,” Kim said. “We are certain that our shared vision will result in wonderful new products and strong growth for our company.”

With its roots tracing back to 1977, The Madison Park Group, a Southworth Company, established itself as one of the earliest specialty greeting card companies in the U.S. More than 30 years later, the company has expanded, through strategic manufacturing and distribution arrangements, to include 11 partner companies. Today, The Madison Park Group has grown far beyond greeting cards with products including personal accessories, gifts and party goods.

Kim and Doug Hamilton will retain ownership and creative control of Mudlark and will work to expand the line with fresh new products and designs. Mudlark will also be retaining its design team, national sales representatives and showrooms. The Madison Park Group will oversee all manufacturing, customer service, accounting and warehouse operations for Mudlark out of their Seattle headquarters.
