Mud Pie’s Marcia Miller named EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist

Marcia Miller, Founder and CEO of Mud Pie, has been named a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of The Year 2015 Southeast Program. The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. The business leaders were selected by a panel of independent judges. Winners will be announced at a black-tie awards gala June 24 at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mud Pie started as a small gift company with a handful of products and a catalog created at a local photo store, but in the the last 27 years, Mud Pie has developed a following for their Living, Kids and Women’s Fashion Collections that are sold through 16,000 specialty and independent retailers worldwide.

Miller just announced that she has regained 100 percent ownership of Mud Pie. In 2010, Miller sought outside investment to facilitate the growth of Mud Pie. Now 5 years later, Mud Pie has doubled in size both physically and financially.

Miller is a two-time recipient of the ICON HONORS and was awarded the inaugural Trailblazer Award by Gift for Life.  Mud Pie was named one of America’s fastest-growing, privately held companies by Inc. Magazine.
