Gift for Life Announces AIDS Walk NY Results
Gift for Life, the gift, stationery and home decor industries’ leading charitable organization, announced that despite rainy weather, an enthusiastic Gift For Life/National Stationery Show team completed the 2013 AIDS Walk New York 10K fundraiser and a total of more than $15,000 was raised for men, women and families who are living with HIV/AIDS.
More than $10,000 of the total was donated by members of the stationery, gift and home industries and included a generous matching grant from DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS).
Some 15 team members completed the 10K walk through Central Park and New York’s Upper West Side, and another six team members conducted a “virtual” walk through the aisles of the National Stationery Show on Sunday, May 19.
