Biely Elected to GCA Board of Directors

Glen Biely, co-president of the Seattle-based The Madison Park Group, was elected to the Board of Directors of the Greeting Card Association (GCA) at its recently concluded 72nd Annual Convention in Savannah, Ga.

“I’m excited and honored to join the GCA Board,” Biely said. “I’ve long admired and appreciated the terrific job that the GCA does of representing the industry as a whole. All my interactions with everyone involved in the GCA have been extremely positive, and I look forward to working with a great group of people.”

Biely became co-president of The Madison Park Group in 2000, having previously served as vice president of sales and marketing and, before that, as its national sales manager. In addition to overseeing sales for The Madison Park Group, Biely facilitates strategic distribution partnerships with other industry companies.

Within the industry, he has served as an Advisory Board member for Stationery Trends magazine, the National Stationery Show and Greetings Etc. Prior to joining The Madison Park Group, Biely worked in sports publishing in Seattle and spent two years living and working in Tokyo, Japan. He is a graduate of the University of Washington, where he earned a MBA (marketing emphasis), post-baccalaureate bachelor’s degree in English literature and bachelor’s degree in business administration. When he’s not working, Biely enjoys being outvoted at home by his wife and three daughters.
