AwkwardFamilyPhotos.com Teams with Recycled Paper Greetings

Recycled Paper Greetings and Awkward Family Photos have announced a collaboration to introduce a line of greeting cards featuring the amusingly uncomfortable portraits that have become an online sensation. The new card line, launching this fall, will include 24 designs for birthday and other every day occasions.

AwkwardFamilyPhotos.com was started by two friends, Mike and Doug, and launched after Mike saw an awkward vacation photo hung in his parents’ house. Realizing there were probably plenty of other people out there with their own awkward family images, the friends decided to create a place where everyone could come together and share their uncomfortable moments. And with that, AwkwardFamilyPhotos.com was born.

The authors started by posting a few of their own childhood photos and those provided by friends, and the site quickly took off. It now receives millions of hits daily and submissions from around the world.

“We are very excited to be working with Awkward Family Photos to bring its unique brand of humor to our greeting card aisles,” said Sue Buchta, president, Papyrus Recycled Greetings, Inc. “Anyone that has visited the site knows that the photos themselves are hysterical and our new offering of cards is the perfect way to share a laugh while connecting with family and friends.”
