The Paper Vow LLC

Cleveland, Ohio

1. When and how did you start working in this business?

I have been a graphic designer for more than 8 years, always filled with the passion for creativity. I officially started The Paper Vow in July of 2013 when I decided to leave my corporate job. The idea of “The Paper Vow” had been in my head for years, and it was time to finally take a leap of faith. I have always loved weddings and felt the spectrum to create invitations was thrilling due to the never-ending lines of creativity you can express for each couple. I felt it was an incredible way to connect personally with bride-to-be’s and tell their love story.

2. What is your signature style?

Bold with a touch of elegance. I love contrast, mixing solid bold colors with elegant elements is my favorite.

3. What are your most popular stationery offerings?

Custom wedding invitations. Each piece is designed for the bride and groom, expressing their style and excitement for their big day.

4. Please share the direction your line will be taking.

I am hoping to create an “Ohio Bride” collection, I feel every state excites their own “local pride” and I feel that pride with every fiber of my being growing up in Ohio. I am hoping to create a special collection for local brides that offer truly unique choices mixing in letterpress, die-cut options and pushing limits to invitations including 3D printed pieces.

5. What are your top three tips for success?

Passion. Patience (there is so much to learn, always…) and confidence. You have to believe in yourself more than anything to make your own success. There is only one of you and only you see your perspective of life and where you can go. Just go for it!
